Welcome from the Headteacher

Dear Parents and Visitors,

Welcome to our school website. I hope you find everything you need here to give you an overview and feel for our school. Our Learning tab shares how we differ from other schools and what makes our school special. The Key Information tab provides the statutory information that all schools must have on their website.

I have led the school since September 2016, initially in an interim capacity. I quickly recognised the beauty of the local area and the incredible potential our school has to utilise the outdoors to promote wellbeing and learning. In 2017, I became the substantive headteacher and began developing future outdoors-inspired projects with the aid of all stakeholders.

I am fortunate to have an excellent team of staff, experienced governors, and a supportive parent body to maintain our academic rigour and wider curriculum expectations. Our school’s vision focusses on using the outdoors to enhance learning and to continue bringing the community together. We aim to create children who are ‘Happy, Healthy Humans’ within hopeful conservation practices.

Our vision statement is rooted in a biblical reference: “At Streatley, together we grow as a tree within our community, enabling us to be happy, healthy humans. A tree is known by its fruit” (Matthew 12:33).

You are welcome to visit our school. Our environment is calm and purposeful, surrounded by National Trust green spaces. Please ring the school office to arrange a visit on one of our open mornings.

Kind regards,

Miss L Roberts
Headteacher
