Joanna Atkinson

As a dedicated parent and primary school teacher with over 15 years of experience, I am passionate about ensuring that every child receives the best education possible. My years of teaching have given me a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities that schools face, as well as the importance of a supportive, inclusive learning environment.

I work closely with students, parents, and school staff, and I understand the value of listening to different perspectives and working together to find solutions that benefit the entire school community.

I would relish the opportunity to be an effective parent governor and contribute my experience and insights to support the continued growth and success of Streatley Primary, ensuring that it continues to provide a positive, nurturing environment where all students can thrive.

Nick Storrs

I wish to put myself forward for the role of Parent Governor. I am the parent of a student in reception year, with a second to join the school this September. I have a very strong interest in supporting an effective school and learning environment for all children, and to be able to contribute where I can to that goal.

I am a city lawyer by background, and have led various parts of my business over the years and have sat on boards and advised boards at various levels. I currently sit as the finance lead in my business division at my firm and lead one of the practice sub-sectors. While that is in a commercial setting, this role is in many respects no different. My aim would be to challenge where appropriate, exercise sound financial judgement, and to deliver a fair level of oversight. Ultimately, my aim would be to support the overall goal in which we are all invested: to deliver a positive educational environment for our children.

I believe my experience would enable me to provide that effective support to the school and its mission, and would be delighted to receive your vote.
