Foundation Home Learning and School Timetable
Home learning in the Foundation Stage is always related to the children and their vocabulary development. Vocabulary enrichment is the key to success across the curriculum and, therefore, utilising high-quality talk in both conversations and through reading regularly together is crucial. Reading records provide a useful touchpoint between home and school to monitor this progress. We want the children to be enthusiastic about learning, and so developing their understanding one-to-one with you really helps them to tune in.
For further information, please see the Early Years Foundation Stage Policy in the policy section of our website, including suggestions to support reading, writing and maths at home.
