Progress since our last SIAMS

We have seen the following developments since our last inspection:

We have increased our participation and partnership with our parish church St. Mary’s including supporting services for example the Remembrance Sunday service and the Christmas carol service.

This academic year we have provided video bible readings and pupil views for Covid-19 services.

Reaching our wider community has included showing our values and vision through our school updates in the community news – Goring Gap and Genie.

Assessment of RE is being explored to support our planning although we recognise this is not expected in a Voluntary Controlled School.

Our vision and distinctly Christian ethos forms part of all of our events where parents and the community are invited to attend.  We use our school prayer to open the events and use bible passages to reflect upon the event.

Our recruitment process encourages new employees to have faith and/or support our Christian Ethos.

Social media has been a huge development over the recent times as tool to show parents what is happening at the school.  The posts will include reference to our vision and values.  The links below are for our social media platform.
