Subject Overviews

Curriculum overviews have been downloaded by the named subject leaders to support parents and visitors. Staff can use the systems to check progression, sequence and connections between subjects.

We have a rolling two year programme as we have mixed year groups. We are currently working through cycle B. See below.

2018-2020 We all moved to using White Rose maths scheme, and we used Berkshire Maestros and Charanga to enrich performing in music and drama.

2020-2022 We trialled new projects from Cornerstones and the staff used their developing gap analysis tools to support planning for teaching. This happens by staff submitting taught after lessons. In this year we held science days and art blocks to support revisiting knowledge and applying skills. We also trialled assessment in RE.

2022-2024 We have redistributed subjects amongst staff to reflect strengths and development. We are using the assessment tools within Curriculum Maestros and continuing with embedding RE assessment. We aim to increase the amount of competitive sports in teams we take part in as we already excel in running, swimming and local events.
