Welcome from the Headteacher

Dear Parents and Visitors,

Welcome to our school website, I hope you find everything you need here to give you an overview and feel for our school.

I am very proud to lead Streatley Primary School and I have an excellent team of staff and governors to support me.  I have led the school since September 2016 and our school vision is focussed on the use of the outdoors to enhance learning, to continue to bring the community together and ultimately to support children to be 'Happy, Healthy Humans’ who will flourish in secondary and the wider world after that.

‘At Streatley, together we grow as a tree within our community enabling us to be happy, healthy humans. “A tree is known by its fruit” Matthew 12:33. Therefore our school is known by our children.’

It is important to us that we promote democracy, rule of law, mutual respect and tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs within the school community. We do this by providing academic rigor within a supportive and challenging environment where pupils enjoy learning and feel safe to speak up about their views.

Pupils are confident, friendly and enthusiastic. They are rightly proud of their school and recognise the benefits that growing up in a small village school like this can bring. They appreciate the spacious and beautiful site, and the way in which ‘everyone knows everyone’. They feel very safe and nurtured, part of a strong community and are able to form strong friendships with pupils across all year groups. Ofsted Reported

You are very welcome to visit our school. Our environment is calm and purposeful, our grounds are beautiful and surrounded by National Trust green spaces. Our staff, parents and children are thoughtful and supportive. Please ring the school office and visit us on one of our open mornings.

Kind regards,

Miss L Roberts
